"So you want to know the layout?" the aged man in front of you sits down on one of the roots at the heart of the caern. Although no sound was emitted you could imagine a groan and what could be described as brittle wood snapping emanating from his every movement. He settles and looks at you with eyes that still look to carry the attention and vigilance of young adult. Bartholomew "Bulwark" Blaskowitz is a man many would see with a cane at his age, and those that have suggested he needs one find it broken over his knee and handed back, except Loyd...but that is a different story. he gestures for you to sit next to him on the root, "Not that this story is long, I just don't like looking up at that angle. You will understand some day."
"Most caerns of this power scale usually expand a mass of miles in the thirty to forty range easy, but given it's location New Dawns has spilled back into its self. Not to uncommon when in or this close to cities, but what makes our home special is that energy went into fueling the heart and Hope, allowing for what we have here." he gently pats the root and rubs his calloused and aged hand on it like that of a good dog. "The heart of this place is strong, stronger than most and because of this our caern's boundaries have spilled over into the spirit world as well. The reflection of this area is more pure and alive then most have ever seen. The reflection of this very tree is proof of that. Here you think her massive and strong, " he looks back slowly and up to the branches to admire the physical worlds representation of the heart, "but in the spirit world it takes on the form of something so massive my people commonly refer to her as Yggdrasil. Now before you start chuckling, her branches do actually have many anchor heads on them. Thankfully none to the tainted realms, but a vast amount that the Warders are constantly watching over her as well as the bawn."
He takes a moment to reflect on the tree and then returns his gaze to you, "No the western half of the Sept's bawn is bordered by many locals frequented by humans. We have the Park with all it's museums, the Zoo, and Hospital as well. When the Caern was first formed we had many mystics adjust the gauntlet in the area to be stronger then one would expect from such a powerful place. As sad as it is this keeps passers by from seeing the spirit world, or accidentally falling in to it. Accidents do still happen on rare occasions, but they are easy enough to manage." he points out east, "Now some time back a fool of a man wanted to turn a large portion of this area into a golf course. Thankfully we were able to shut down that project and got the parks boundaries extended. Outside of the regularly traveled areas you have four buildings. There is the old Rec-Center we use as a local gathering point. It is situated to the southern end of the entire location. In the north half you have the barn which has been converted to a storage and work station, and in the north east you have two one story ranch style homes. One is used by the Den Mothers and fathers as a place of healing, meditation and labor."
He stands up and looks into the bough of the tree. "Ever since Hope settled in here the surrounding area has had an abundance of growth and wyld energy. The trees and plants grow thick and strong, so it is almost impossible to see through the branches, protecting us from interlopers from above. there is plenty of space here, much worth loving and protecting, and when you earn your 'stripes', however you do it, you will be welcomed to make a part of this land both here and it's reflection as yours." he starts to walk away, gesturing for you to follow. "Come along now, I think you may just fit what I need to get back at Loyd."

Notes.
1.) The golf course does not exist in this world setting. it is, instead, more natural land and protected park that is divided among many families from the San Diego area. Looking into some of these last names will not take much time or effort to notice a connection with some of the members of the sept.
2.) Gnosis is still easy to replenish when you are in side of the Bawn, however, the Gauntlet rating is a solid six till you are within a about a hundred feet of the heart of the Caern.
3.) In the material world the heart of the caern is an enormous Camphor Tree. It's roots are so huge that you could drive a small car under some of them or easily make a small one bedroom home. There are caves and fissures that lead to the under side of the tree. Some of the septs denizens have made small sitting areas in some of these locals. Normally this would look obvious and awkward from above the tree line, but as one gets closer to the heart of the caern the trees become larger and more prominent in a slowly scaling way that creates a natural illusion to viewers making it look natural.
4.) The Rec-Center in the south is an open location for all Fera and Kinfolk of the city to meet and socialize. It is a private building just inside the Bawn, and has been established for those not yet of second rank or higher to have a place to feel a connection to the caern. This is a starting location for players to meet and socialize in game, however, feel free to try and make some of your own in character through out the city. The Barn is a large twenty-eight foot wood building that is used to store tools, weapons, and a workshop for all sorts of labor. The Healing House, as it is normally referred to, is one story ranch style home that is usually staffed by the kinfolk and Fera who make up the Den Mothers/Fathers. It is used for all forms of healing, teaching, and for when women go into labor. The second house appears to have been designed by the same person who made the first, but is usually only occupied by guests and travelers stopping by the sept.
