A portion of measuring character growth in game is the ever coveted Experience Points. I figured now was as good a time as any to go over how much you gain, and any adjustments to exp costs from what the base books state.
Every person will get twp exp for each night of game they are present for. You can get an extra point for sufficient costuming, as well as a shout out from staff.
Staff will be rewarding one shout per a staff member to exemplify players whose play style is what we are looking for in the game. We will not be doing honorable mentions as we feel those are rude and can come of as an insult in the form of "better luck next time".
When you receive a Staff Shout Out you can either take one extra experience point OR an 'Intuition' point. You can save up as many intuition points as you wish.
The Preliminary nights were not awarding exp as one would normally expect.
On a players first official night of game, this is any night on or after the 21st of August 2015, they will receive 5 minimum exp (not including shout out or costuming).
That is the base two exp you get a night plus three. One for each night of preliminary game/character creation aid. Everyone gets this one time boost.
Staff feels that the PLAYER earns the exp, not the character. So if you die, retire a character, or the character is driven insane to the point of no longer playable, your next character gets exp equal to what you have gained in total.
We may, as the experience curves go up, put a bit of a diminishing return on this, but as of right now we have no such concept in the working.
