Shattered Hearts is a game that has many plots going on at once. Maybe not all at the same time, or always available, but they are there.
Main Story:
This is a plot that is a big deal, covering the whole of the game, involving and effecting every player and NPC for better or for worse. Every player is welcome to get into these plots and involve themselves at what ever level they wish to.
Organization Plots:
These plots will start out as a primary focus for players that belong to a part of an organization (such as DynTech or City Guard) and will be made available to those players first, however, this does not mean that other players are bared or denied entry to these plots, just that they may need some way in to get involved.
Side Plots:
These sort of plots typically revolve around what is happening with influences, and may require some form of connection to this part of the world to find entrance to. Like Organization plots, these are going to pop up to players with points in Influences first (mattering on their levels), but may spill over for other players to get involved in or brought into.
Personal Plots:
These are stories made for players who turn in backgrounds and give us something to work with. These are your plots, and are challenges for a single player to handle. Now this doesn't mean that you won't be allowed to invite other players, but it is your moment in the spot light and a place for you to feel like things revolve around you for a moment.
I hope this helps to illustrate some of the direction and creative process staff is going to implement in this game in hopes to best make every player have fun and enjoy themselves.
