Every so often a merit and/or Flaw will be brought forward that we the staff are alright with you taking. However, some of these may not be in the previous listed books and for player fairness we make sure to have all the mechanics added and updated here as how we are using them in the game.
Notoriety: (Social Flaw; 3 Points)
You did something, somehow, to really piss of people in and around your community. You some how caught their attention in a negative way to the point that most of them know you on sight, or have heard of your name. When peoples say, "Your reputation precedes you." your usual response is a nervous twitch or a low grumbled "Shit."
Mechanic: After working out what exactly you have done, staff will know who and possibly what areas, are being effected by this flaw. The first mechanic is that when dealing with entities from the effected group you are down at least two traits on all social challenges. In some cases the use of influence in these areas may be easier for others to use on you and/or more difficult for you to use yourself.
Compulsion: (Psychological Flaw; 1 Point)
You have a specific compulsion which may cause you problems. You have to spend a temporary Willpower point to fight the compulsion for a scene or an hour.
Note: You must choose a compulsion, one that is reasonable and possible to be fulfilled in most places. These are nervous twitches, not cool things. An example would be smoking in a state like California, where smoking in doors is prohibited in 90% of buildings. Rolling coins over your knuckles to look cool like that guy from that movie is not a nervous twitch, unless you suck at it, and the coin constantly flies out of your hand and makes noise while being a distraction.
Calming Presence: (Social Merit; 2 Points)
Children and animals have an easy time around you. There is something about you that naturally makes others just relax in your presence. (Note: This Merit has limited to no effect outside of San Diego, because once you leave the reach of hopes blessing everyone can feel your rage again, for those without rage, go you, this merit effects others outside of San Diego.)
Mechanic: In social challenges related to putting people at ease, gaining trust, and defusing tension you are one trait up on all such challenges. You can also use this merit on animals and children to help them calm and stop them from potentially attacking you.
Color Blindness: (Awareness Flaw; 1 Point)
Most people who are color blind normally have difficulty with one or two colors. For you, you cannot see any colors. This may be something you were born with or that developed during life. This will make some perception rolls more difficult and will be handled as they come up. Most people who are registered at this level of color blind are not allowed to drive legally, however, that is if it is known by authorities and registered.
