Character Creation
Attributes (All attribute categories now cap at 15 with no trait type (Strength, Charisma, etc) going above 5. This is a universal cap.) At character creation you cannot take a category above 10, barring any racial bonuses (Gurahl bonus for example.)
-Primary: 9
-Secondary: 7
-Tertiary: 5
Abilities (No ability can start above 3 without Staff approval. When an ability hits 4 you get a free specialization. When you get it to 5 you may purchase a second one for 2 exp.)
-Start with 16.
Backgrounds (Influences are a part of this game, thanks to the Blessing of Hope, however, at character creation they can only be taken by Human born and Metis who can live among humans. Without a turned in background to the staff cap is 3 for any single Background trait.
-Start with 8
Starting Gifts and Tempers (Gnosis, Rage, Willpower) is as per the book your species comes from.(there is no Rank cap on Tempers, they may be bought up to 6 at character creation and max out at 10. Gurahl are able to buy Willpower up to 8 at character creation)
Freebies
-Start with 5
-Up to 5 extra from Negative traits
-Up to 7 From Flaws (Derangements count as a 2 Point flaw and require staff approval to take.)
Freebie Costs
-Attributes are 1 freebie per and you can only buy up to 10 in each category at character creation.
-Abilities are 1 freebie per a level up to level 3. With staff approval you may buy levels 4, possibly 5, and they cost 2 points per a level.
-Backgrounds are 1 freebie point per a level up to 3. With staff approval and a submitted character background you may be allowed to buy up to level 4, possibly 5, and they cost 2 points per a level.
- Tempers are as follows Rage=2 freebies, Gnosis=3 freebies, Willpower=1 feebie.
