Camouflage:
The Nuwisha blends in with the surrounding wilderness, which makes him very difficult to see. A deer-spirit teaches this Gift
(No changes) Take two rounds and gain the bonus 3 traits on stealth challenges. This gift is pretty much useless outside of wilderness environments of North America, though at the ST’s discretion it may convey lesser bonuses elsewhere.
Gift of the Porcupine:
When using this Gift, the nuwisha undergoes a startling transformation. Her fur becomes elongated, bristly and sharp like the quills of a porcupine. This change makes her an even more fearsome killing machine. A nuwisha must be in Manabozho, Sendeh or Latrani form to use this Gift. Porcupine teaches this Gift.
(changes) Spend a gnosis in Manabozho<->Latrani. For the rest of the scene touching you causes one level of aggravated damage. Those attacking you either unarmed or with very small weapons (i.e knives) also take one level of aggravated damage per attack. If you grapple someone, the opponent takes one level of aggravated damage per round, plus whatever else you’re dishing out. If they foolishly grapple you, they take one level of aggravated damage, plus the normal per swing if they stupidly keep punching.
Odious Aroma:
The Nuwisha can amplify his (probably already formidable) body odor to the point that it debilitates any who can smell it. A stinkbug-spirit teaches this Gift.
(no changes) Spend a gnosis. For the rest of the scene, everyone who can smell within 20 feet is down two traits due to you smelly like poo. Any unfortunate with some form of heightened senses smell can pretty much say goodbye to their lunch, and their sense of smell for the rest of the day.
Otter's Breath:
The Nuwisha blessed with this Gift can breathe underwater and swim as fast as he can run in Sendeh form. Unsurprisingly, a fish-spirit teaches this Gift.
(Changes) Spend a gnosis and go blub blub blub. You can breathe under water for as many hours as you have levels in Animal Ken.
Rabbit Run
The Nuwisha doubles her running speed. A roadrunner- or cheetah-spirit teaches this Gift
(No change) Spend a gnosis. Run twice as fast. Yay!
Song of Kokopelli:
By singing or playing an instrument, the Nuwisha may cause all those in the area to be filled with a sense of calm for as long as the Nuwisha continues performing. The player must actually perform in some fashion (talent is helpful but not required) in addition to making a Social Challenge against those in hearing distance. Those who fail to resist the Gift’s power cannot attack or take any other aggressive action, and those in frenzy are calmed (but only for the duration of the Gift). Use the normal mob scene rules for multiple targets.
(Change) When comparing ties add your levels of Performance (appropriate to the kind of Performance being made) to your trait pool.
Spirit Speech:
This Gift allows the Nuwisha to communicate with encountered spirits. The Nuwisha is thus able to address them whether they wish to be addressed or not. Of course, nothing (usually) prevents the spirit from ignoring the Nuwisha or leaving. Any spirit can teach this Gift.
(No change) There is no mechanic for this gift. You can speak to spirits. Note that this is NOT some supah secret language, it just allows you to talk to spirits. Nuwisha can’t chill in the corner speaking “spirit”. That’s Wraithist.
Twisting Tongues:
Communication is key to all social interaction, and when you are trying to tell a joke to someone you best be sure they understand you. Same with trying to convey accurately what ever song you are trying to sing and to make sure that the chosen of Coyote can fulfill their roles he has gifted them with this ability to get their point across. This gift is taught by an Ancestor-spirit.
(System) Spend one willpower and make a mental challenge, retesting Linguistics, against a difficulty based on the ease or rarity of a language. trying to speak Spanish is relatively simple (difficulty of 5) where as Ancient Sumerian would be truly taxing (difficulty 14). The use of this gift also conveys a basic accent and rudimentary grasp on colloquialisms. However, slang and special codes used by people who speak the language will still be lost on you. This gift grants no understanding or ability to communicate with Spirits or Animals.
Umbral Map:
The Nuwisha using this Gift can locate any part of the Umbra, and in some cases can even locate an individual entity in the Umbra. This Gift is taught by an Ancestor-spirit.
(System)Make Gnosis test, retest Cosmology, against a difficulty based on the task and information you are trying to gather. You can never make more tests than your permanent Gnosis rating, and subsequent uses of this gift will not stack, you will always get the same information on a target no matter how you try to reword it.
If you have never before been to a the part of the Umbra you are asking about, difficulty 7.
If you have traveled there before, difficulty 6.
If you frequent the area, difficulty 5.
With the success of one test you can pin point where you are.
With two success you can determine how best to approach any area or Realm in the Umbra.
With three success, you can get a feel for where a target is in the Umbra.
With five or more success, you can pinpoint a target's exact location within the Umbra.
(If a target is actively trying to avoid being found add their levels of Stealth to the difficulty.)
Xochipilli's Touch:
(Clarification) To use this gift a staff member must be present and made aware of what is happening in the scene.
